WEEKS 2:SITE SELECTION AND PREPARATION


INTRODUCTION:

Land clearing in the lemongrass plot


OBJECTIVE

-We get more knowledge about site selection and planning procedures before starting land clearing on the plot

-students can about how to manage a nursery site.

6.20 A.M. -7.20


We started that Friday morning by gathering at our respective roll call places. We took attendance and did the names.

7.20 a.m -8.15

After that, we held our weekly Roll-call at the Agrotech gathering place with all the students from Sections 1, 2, and 3. Together, the class sang Lagu Negaraku, UiTM Dihatiku, and Planters.


8.20a.m -8.55

Sir Selva explained this week's activities. He explained about site selection and preparation.


9.00 - 10.30 a.m

We were divided into 2 groups to do land clearing. Class a and b went to the cocoa tree plot while d and c went to the lemongrass plot.Before going to our respective plots, we had to pick up a hoe and a machete.

We do land clearing with enthusiasm.We have removed the weeding that is close to the lemongrass.This kind of work takes a lot of energy to do.


1030a.m.

Sir Selva gave us a ride back to college. Before returning to college, we went to the farm store to store machete and hoe. After that we went straight back to college.
