TOPIC:SEED HANDLING
INTRODUCTION
We are learning how to treat seeds by handling them as part of this week's assignment. Our lecturer asked us to gather coffee beans from the coffee plot the day before the fieldwork session in order to treat the seeds. The purpose of the seed treatment is to stop pests and diseases that spread through seeds and to promote early germination. We are using the soaking method to treat the seeds. After the coffee was peeled to extract the seeds, we soaked them in a fungicide called Thiram and added water to create a solution. Once the soaking process was complete, we placed the seeds in a polybag containing a mixture of soil that
OBJECTIVES
